Rugby: Trinder leads Edinburgh judo assault

Graham TRINDER, fresh from winning gold in an 
under-60kgs World Cup event in Minsk, is due to spearhead the Edinburgh Club entry for this weekend’s Scottish Open judo championships at Ravenscraig Sports Centre, Motherwell.

Also competing will be Connie Ramsay, who took a bronze from the women’s World Cup event in Turkey.

The Scottish Open is the last British ranking event of the year and players will be looking to add points to their tally to try and make the top 16 and therefore be selected to attend the British Trials in January. Some Edinburgh Club juniors are also competing in the senior event which has attracted competitors from Norway, Sweden, England and Ireland.
