Watsonians and Stewart’s Melville will carry plenty of momentum into tonight’s National League Division One rugby match at Myreside (kick- off 7.30) as they bid to close the gap on unbeaten leaders Selkirk, at least temporarily.

Third placed ’Sonians have won five in a row and include hooker Jake Kerr, fresh from sitting on the Edinburgh bench in Leinster, as well as also recalling Brian Walls and Ally Miller.

Making way are Ali Ross and Reiss Cullen, who revert to the bench, while Matt Poole is injured.

Stewart’s Melville completed a fourth straight win they edged out Dundee High 22-20 last week.

The fourth-placed visitors, who are a point behind the hosts and ten points off the lead, make two changes, with Stu Wilson taking over from Ben Wilson up front while Matt Morrell returns for Ciaran Whyte on the wing.

In Division Two, Musselburgh entertain Haddington as the Premiership takes a break this weekend.
