Teague signs off with award

Edinburgh ACCIES skipper Dan Teague capped his final season at the club in fine style when he scooped the RBS Premier Division Player of the Season title in the Scottish Rugby club awards at Murrayfield last night, writes COLIN RENTON.

It was a fitting finale for the flanker who helped Accies to fourth in the table.

Musselburgh captain James Doig picked up the Brigadier Frank Coutts Memorial award for his touchdown against Lasswade which was voted Try of the Season. Dunbar’s Jamie Peters also lifted silverware after being named divisional Player of the Season for the RBS East Division. The 30-year-old stand off contributed more than 200 points over the campaign.

North Berwick Director of Rugby Ken Macaulay received the prestigious Ginger Grouse Spirit of Rugby Award for his contribution to the club in various capacities.
