Snooker: Leslie loses out to legend Davis in Sofia

Bonnyrigg snooker star Michael Leslie lost 4-0 to Steve Davis in his televised match at the Betfair European Tour
Bulgarian Open in Sofia.

Leslie lost the opening frame as the six-times World Champion made a 44 break, but was on course to level the match as he opened up a 52-point lead in the second. However, Davis fought back with a run of 26 before an excellent 33 clearance gave him a 2-0 lead. Runs of 24 and 31 were enough for Davis to win the third frame before a 68 in the fourth gave him a 4-0 victory.

Leslie will now return to Sheffield for the UK Championship Qualifiers on Tuesday.

Out of the other Scots in
action yesterday, Glasgow pair Anthony McGill and Alan McManus won their opening matches to progress whilst Perth’s Scott Donaldson lost 4-2 to England’s Andrew
Norman.
