Michael LESLIE is back in action tomorrow against former world champion Neil Robertson in the opening round of the Players Tour Championship Event 3 at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester.

The Bonnyrigg star will play a former world champion for the third event in succession after defeats to Ken Doherty and John Higgins in his last two events. Despite another difficult match in prospect, the 19-year-old is looking forward to the challenge.

Leslie said: “It’s another tough one but I think it will be a good match. I have been working hard since the Higgins match and I have had a few practice games with Marcus Campbell and Scott Donaldson so I am hopefully well prepared.”

Perth star Donaldson, who also turned professional this season, has a tough first-round draw against China’s Ding Junhui. Scottish pros John Higgins, Marcus Campbell, Alan McManus, Stephen Maguire, Graeme Dott, Jamie Burnett and Anthony McGill are all in action.
