MacGillivray and Dudgeon still in frame at Masters

Edinburgh pair Craig MacGillivray and Derek Dudgeon have both qualified for the knockout stages of he IBSF World Snooker Masters Championships in Bangalore, India.

MacGillivray made it three wins out of three with a comfortable 3-0 victory over India’s K Venkatesham to remain joint top of his group with two matches remaining. Dudgeon made it two wins out of three, recovering from losing the opening frame to beat New Zealand’s Paul Temple 3-2.

However, it was a disappointing day for the Lothian professionals at the Ruhr Open, European Tour Event 4 in Germany. Bonnyrigg’s Michael Leslie lost 4-1 to World No. 22 Ryan Day (Wales), while Muir went down 4-2 to Ben Woollaston (England). Scott Donaldson won his opening match against China’s Li Hang, winning 4-1, before losing the last four frames to Glasgow’s Fraser Patrick in a 4-2 defeat.
