Musselburgh snooker ace Ross Muir comfortably secured his place in the second round of Event 2
of Q School in his bid to turn professional at the World Snooker
Academy in Sheffield, writes MICHAEL GALLACHER.

Muir whitewashed England’s Sam Harvey 4-0, which included a break of 50 in the second frame to win on the black before making a run of 52 in the fourth frame. Muir was meeting Josh Boileau today in the last 64 requiring
four more wins to book his place on the professional tour.

Hamilton’s Rhys Clark defeated Glasgow’s
Fraser Patrick 4-3. However, Michael Collumb and Barry Lee both lost out. Glasgow pair Dylan Craig and Ross Higgins are also in action today.
