Musselburgh teenager Ross Muir lost out at the last 64 stage of the Asian Tour Event 4 in Dongguan, China, going down losing 4-2 to England’s Alex Davies.

Muir lost the first two frames to Davies, but got back into the match by winning the third with a run of 52 before levelling things at 2-2.

However, Davies won the next with a 52 break before winning the sixth frame for a 4-2 victory.

Scott Donaldson, continued his recent form, defeating China’s Feng Yu. Donaldson made breaks of 56 and 84 to take a 3-0 lead, but despite Yu responding with a break of 102 to close the deficit to only two frames, Donaldson made a match-winning run of 73 to secure a 4-1 win.
