Robert Carlisle exited at the last-32 stage of the European Amateur Snooker Champ-ionships in Bulgaria last night.
The Edinburgh ace lost the last two frames to go down 5-4 to Ireland’s Josh Boileau. Carlisle led 3-1 before Boileau pulled one back and then made 58 to level the match. Carlisle won the seventh as Boileau failed to score, but the Irishman took the next two for victory.
Glasgow’s Gary Thomson let slip a 4-0 lead in a 5-4 defeat to Bulgaria’s Ivailo Petkov.
Alloa’s Eden Sharav reached the last 16, but his 5-2 defeat to Kristjan Helgason ended Scottish interest in the tournament.
