Edinburgh Monarchs will stage their rained-off match against Ipswich Witches as part of a double header with Workington Comets at Armadale on Friday, September 8.

Edinburgh co-promoter John Campbell said: “We looked at a number of alternatives for the restaging particularly to making it a single match.

“But there was problems in finding others dates and this seemed the logical conclusion to allow us to restage the fixture prior to the cut-off date for the play-offs places on September 18.”

If Monarchs win both matches it will take them very close to securing their play-off spot.

The double-header will start at 7pm with Workington up first. Additional medical cover will also be in place to try and limit potential hold ups, with the last race of the second match expected to be staged at 10pm.

Admission charges will rise to reflect the additional races being staged. Adults: advanced £26, walk up £30; Senior/Student: advanced £21, walk up £25; Child 12-16: advanced £6, walk up £8; Child 5-11: advanced £2, walk up £3; Children under 5: free.
