Edinburgh MONARCHS duo Craig Cook and Claus Vissing were knocked out at the semi-final stage of last night’s Premier League speedway Pairs Championship at
Somerset’s Oak Tree Arena .

Monarchs were beaten by Somerset Rebels in the first of the semi-finals and although Cook managed to take the chequered flag against home pair Jason Doyle and Josh Grajczonek, Vissing finished last off the gate-three position, which was flooded prior to the race when the water bowser burst, and this ended their
victory hopes.

Scunthorpe beat defending champions Workington Comets in the second semi-final, but lost out to Somerset in the Grand Final.

Cook was the only unbeaten rider in the meeting.
