Edinburgh's La Favorita are offering up free pizza and dessert this month - but only for certain people

Those born on February 29 are only able to celebrate their official birthday once every four years, but an Edinburgh restaurant has decided to honour them with a special present this leap year.

In honour of 2020’s Leap Day celebrations, La Favorita guests from Edinburgh who were born on Leap Day can commemorate their big day by dining out on a free pizza and any free dessert at the Leith Walk restaurant between 12pm and 3pm on Saturday February 29 2020.

La Favorita's pizzas are topped with mouth-watering ingredients and cooked in revolving 300C log-fired Italian ovens to give a special crispness and smoky flavour.

While the restaurant brands authentic thin crust Italian pizzas are the highlight and a favourite amongst Capital residents, La Favorita also offers gourmet Italian pastas which are made to order, with a great choice of antipasti starters, fresh salads and indulgent desserts.
