The Great Scottish Haggis Hunt is back!

TODAY is St Andrew’s Day, which means that scotsman.com’s wildly popular Haggis Hunt is up and running again. Now in its twelth year, the competition sees millions of intrepid hunters logging on from across the world to track down the elusive creatures.

The Hunt begins at 12 noon GMT today (November 30) and ends on Burn’s Night (January 25) and this season we are kindly assisted by highlandtitles.com, Fairmont St Andrews and Whyte & Mackay.

Our 2012/2013 Grand Prize is a one night luxury break at the Fairmont St Andrews for those who spot the golden haggis and are lucky enough to be chosen in our prize draw.

The top Haggis spotter of the week will recieve a bottle of Whyte & Mackay (UK only) with weekly prizes also on offer for spotters of the domestic grey haggis.

To participate in Hunting the Haggis, you do not need to go out onto the hills, nor will you have to harm one of these rare creatures (haggishunt.com is totally environmentally friendly).

You can hunt the haggis from the comfort of your computer. Simply browse through our ten haggis-cams, which are located in various parts of our beautiful country.

This year we have a raft of new cameras including Loch Ness and Ayrshire - the home of our national bard Robert Burns.
