The high-altitude weathermen of Ben Nevis

They were stationed near the top of Ben Nevis at one of the world's first permanently manned weather observatories.

Conditions were, naturally, horrendous for the weathermen at the Ben Nevis Observatory with the staff, who first arrived in 1883, usually staying for three months at a time - or more if the conditions stopped them from leaving.
