It's so, so Daniel Sloss at the Brunton

Having been performing stand-up since the age of 16, the award-winning comic has sold out his previous six Fringe runs and toured extensively in the UK, Europe and Australia.

At Musselburgh’s Brunton Theatre on Friday, there’s another chance to catch his latest Fringe show, So?

If proof were needed of Sloss’ comedic pedigree you just have to look at his credits.

He’s appeared on the top rated US Conan Show six times, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Sunday Night at Palladium, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Russell Howard’s Good News, all after making his TV debut on The Paul O’Grady Show when he was just 18

He even had his own BBC 3 series, The Adventures Of Daniel.

The Brunton gig brings the Fifer, who is now based in the Capital back close to where his comedy career took off.

In 2008, when just 17, he became one of the youngest-ever finalists in the Gilded Balloon’s talent search So You Think You’re Funny? as well as performing on a double-bill show at his first Fringe.

Since then he has brought a new solo show to the Fringe every year. His first was Teenage Kicks, followed in 2010 and 2011 by My Generation and The Joker. His 2012 show, imaginatively called The Show and his 2013 show, simply titled Stand-Up, each sold out the EICC. 2014’s Really...?! did the same.

Joining Sloss on stage at the East Lothian venue on Friday will be fellow comedian and flatmate the delightfully happy-go-lucky Kai Humphries.

Fresh from his win at the Forth Awards, Humphries has emerged as one of the brightest comedians and writers on the UK comedy circuit.
