Last year, Edinbrick expected 400 to attend the inaugural event, more than 1300 turned up, raising in excess of £2000 for the Fairybricks.org Charity, which then delivered thousands of pounds worth of Lego to the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity.

This year’s event, on Saturday 26 May is bigger than ever.

Following on from last year’s sell out show, the not for profit gathering has moved to Potterrow Dome.

With triple the visitor capacity of the previous venue, there will be double the number of displays and a larger interactive zone for children and adults to practice building.

Subtitled ‘Bigger, Better and Bricker’ the 2018 Edinbrick promises Lego fans an even better experience.

While many of the builders, including an overseas contingent, are keeping their plans for Edinbrick under wraps, there will be historic scenes, futuristic models and steampunk ships.

There will also be Lego City Trains, Star Wars and, of course, as the Avengers assemble for the Infinity War in Edinburgh, Lego Superheroes.

As before, all profits from Edinbrick will go to the Fairy Bricks Charity who last year alone donated thousand of pounds worth of Lego direct to Scottish Children’s Hospitals and Wards including the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital.

In addition to the displays there will be a minifig hunt, building zones, a fund raising tombola with Lego prizes and Lego sets available to buy on the day.
