IN the forgotten island town of Sudley-on-Sea, where the motto is ‘Don’t Go on The Beach’ the centrepiece is a nuclear reprocessing plant of dubious Soviet construction.

Pleasance Dome, Potterrow
Tour guides, Max Olesker and Ivan Gonzalez, introduce us to its residents, just as the ageing plant is about to blow and condemn the town to destruction by the stroke of midnight.
We follow local boy made good and children’s writer Clive who has returned home seeking an ending to his latest book and hoping to mend the years of bitterness between him and his father Eric, a proud and resolute shed builder. Can they save the day?
Along the way we meet the truly weird and wonderful characters of Sudley, all brilliantly brought to life by Max and Ivan’s slickly penned script and truly outstanding individual performances.
The hilarious unleashing of Mr & Mrs Webb’s passions as the end approaches, will live long in the memory, as will the inspired portrayal of an escape helicopter and the search for love among the audience by Sudley’s lonely heart Billy. There are many more besides,in a high quality, high octane 60 minutes.
