Susan Boyle's brother Gerry fails to sell tickets for cabaret

SINGING sensation Susan Boyle's brother has pulled the plug on his cabaret showcase after failing to shift any tickets.

The Evening News reported last month how Gerry Boyle aimed to bring a spot of Las Vegas glamour to East Lothian with his latest venture.

But he confirmed today the For Your Pleasure extravaganza at Musselburgh’s Brunton Theatre on September 30 is postponed.

“We just didn’t seem to be able to shift any tickets,” said Gerry, 63.

“It’s one of those things, if we don’t sell any tickets then we don’t have a show.”

Gerry said plugging the show during the Edinburgh festivals and the £75 cover charge may have been to blame.

But he vowed to look again at bringing Benidorm-style dinner entertainment to East Lothian.

People keep telling me to bring it to London,” said Gerry.

“But we’re still looking to do it in Scotland.”

The evening had been put together by Gerry’s latest TV vehicle, Internet World Television, set up in November from an address in the Capital’s West End. He hoped the show would be recorded for broadcast.
