The Scottish singer has just announced a new UK and Ireland tour, which brings him to the Capital later this year.

Described by Vogue as “Heavenly, impeccable, masterful, soul-stirring” and by Clash as “An otherworldly feast”, Joesef having only played his first ever live gig in April of 2019, rounded off the year with a sold out, 1300 capacity home town show in Glasgow. He was also included on the influential BBC Sound Of 2020 list.

That makes him a bit of a favourite among the tastemakers in the worlds of radio and press alike.

His 10 date UK and Ireland Tour in April and May will give Edinburgh audiences the chance to see just how special this truly natural performer is.

His songs, such as debut single Limbo, Radio 1 favourite Loverboy, and EP title track Play Me Something Nice, navigate feelings of first love and loss, including the breakdown of his first relationship “and how complicated it became for both of us trying to navigate through life without each other.”

Joesef adds, “It’s about a sort of nostalgia and love that continues to linger after the dust has settled.” The single itself “is about being lonely and seeking comfort in the familiarity of each other even though everything has fallen apart.”

With more new music on the horizon you can catch Joesef live at La Belle Angele, Hasties Close on Friday 1 May.
