Cannonball Bar opens in iconic Old Town location

A NEW whisky bar owned by two iconic family businesses in the Capital will open tonight in Edinburgh's Old Town.

The Cannonball Bar, located at the top of the Royal Mile, will offer a selection of over 120 fine malt whiskies, including the full Glengoyne and Tamdhu collections.

The new bar is owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, owners of Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Victor and Carina Contini, the long-established Edinburgh restaurateurs.

Neil Boyd, Commercial Director of Malts for Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Victor and Carina to launch Cannonball Bar and The Glengoyne Room.

“The location of Cannonball House is so unique and couldn’t offer a more authentic Edinburgh experience.”
