In the brand new production of the genre-defining thriller, which is based on Frederick Knott’s stage and screen play, made world-famous by Hitchcock’s iconic 1954 film, Womack takes over the role of Margot from Sally Bretton.

She will play opposite TV and stage favourite Chambers who stars as the charismatic and manipulative Tony Wendice, a jaded ex-tennis pro who has given it all up for his wife Margot (Womack).

When he discovers she has been unfaithful his mind turns to revenge and the pursuit of the ‘perfect crime’. Christopher Harper, best known for his time on the cobbles of Coronation Street as Nathan Curtis performs in the dual roles of Captain Lesgate and Inspector Hubbard and Michael Salami of Hollyoaks fame, play Max Halliday, Margot’s lover.

The play, which comes to the King’s Theatre from Tuesday 25 to Saturday 29 February, brings Womack back to the Capital for the third time in recent years.

Womack, who is still best remembered as Ronnie Mitchell in BBC1 soap played Morticia at Festival Theatre in the 2017 hit musical of The Addams Family, and last year won rave reviews for her starring role in the acclaimed touring production of The Girl on the Train.

Dial M For Murder reunites her with director Anthony Banks, who directed Strangers on a Train, which continues to tour the UK.
