Traquair Medieval Fayre joust the thing for family day out

ALL things Middle Ages will be celebrated this weekend at the Traquair Medieval Fayre.

Sir Fitzpercy and Orlando Darnley from the group Les Amis d’Onno have been getting in some practice ahead of the jousting contest.

The fayre will include a Grand Tournée, a medieval market, living history displays, longbow archery lessons, falconry, medieval music and children’s activities including jester shows and storytelling.

• Traquair Medieval Fayre will be held at Traquair from 11am to 5pm on Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29. Tickets are £12 for adults, £10 for children and £38 for a family pass. More info: http://www.traquair.co.uk/traquair-medieval-fayre
