Is your dog a theatre star?

AN award-winning opera producer is on the hunt for an Edinburgh dog to star on the stage of the Playhouse.

The “beautiful and romantic” La Boheme comes to the Capital in May and auditions are to be held to find a four-legged star.

Producer Ellen Kent said: “People say never work with children or animals but I love to do both. Many years ago when we last did La Boheme and asked local people to volunteer their pets it was a huge success.”

Pets need to be well behaved and small and owners need to go onstage in costume to look after him or her.
