Edinburgh Weather: Rain affects driving conditions

Localised flooding hit several areas of the Capital as rain washed over the city’s streets overnight and into this morning.
But a Met Office spokesman insisted the rain was set to die down by mid afternoon - giving way to a fall in temperatures and overnight frost.

Hide AdHe said: “There is still a little bit of rain to come across the area, but once that rain has been through we are then looking at a dry afternoon with clear spells overnight.”
“There will be a touch of frost overnight, with minimum temperatures in rural areas falling to -1°C. There may well be icy patches in some areas.”
