9. Nina Conti
After a hugely successful run in 2024, and being the best reviewed show of the Fringe, virtuoso ventriloquist Nina Conti is returning to Edinburgh this summer for a limited run of 8 performances of her show 'Whose Face Is It Anyway?' Nina will perform the limited run at Underbelly's McEwan Hall 7:20pm, from August 7-15 expect the 13th. On returning to the Fringe this summer after last year’s enormously successful run, Conti said: “Last year was too fun, not returning wasn’t an option.” With her beloved monkey in tow, join Conti for ‘Whose Face Is It Anyway?’ as she presents an unparalleled, unscripted new show that delves deep into who we are, hijacking faces to spark a bold, hysterical reality warp. Conti’s return to the Fringe in 2024 followed her previous critically acclaimed hour ‘The Dating Show’, which debuted at the Pleasance in 2022 to rave reviews, before touring the globe with a sell-out UK tour, shows at the Sydney Opera House, and culminating with a two-week residency at New York’s Soho Playhouse | Paul Gilbey

10. Peter Doherty
Peter Doherty, the legendary co-frontman of indie rockers The Libertines, brings his new album 'Felt Better Alive' to La Belle Angele for this year's Fringe, performing on Tuesday, August 12. Fans of his bands and his solo work are sure to be expecting to hear hits from all his adventures in music, with the controversial frontman and songwriter's one-off show at the Cowgate venue sure to be sold out. | Bridie Cummings

11. Mhairi Black
Former SNP MP Mhairi Black returns to the Fringe this year for her second solo show. Following her sold-out Fringe run and a smash-hit tour, MP-turned-comedian Mhairi Black returns with some new stories and fresh material. Come along for a laid-back look at the last year. In this work-in-progress, Mhairi will be talking about life outside of politics, neurodiversity, joblessness and trying to get fit at the gym. In true ADHD fashion, it's all over the place. She will perform her 12 noon show at Gilded Balloon at Appleton Tower, venue 140, August 10-24. | Steve Ullathorne

12. Jack Docherty
BAFTA award-winning star of Scot Squad, The Chief, and Absolutely, Edinburgh's very own TV legend Jack Docherty returns to the Fringe after a 2024 sell-out run. Performing at venue 140, Gilded Balloon Appleton Tower, this latest Fringe run by Docherty is on from August 1-17 at 7pm until 8pm. | Gilded Balloon
