Pop-up events materialise at Leith Walk Police Box
Pop-ups coming soon to the Croall Place attraction, all with Covid-19 social distancing and hygiene measures in place, include a pop art cafe, the Fake Fringe and an open mic night
Every Sunday for the duration of what should be festival month, there’s an invitation to would be performers to take part in the Fake Fringe. As invitations go, it’s unique: ‘Want to perform to an uninterested audience for no fee whatsoever? Get in touch. Because the socially distanced show must go on.’

Hide AdFor those with a sweet tooth, Tipico Sicilian Confectioners take over the box on Wednesdays and Fridays, 11am-5pm, except this week. Delights on sale include nuts, dried fruit, chocolate, tarrone, brittles and gift boxes - card payments only.
Open Mic Night goes outdoors on 23 August. Hosted by Typewronger Books from 6pm-10.30pm, get in touch if you want to take part.
Then on 29 and 30 August, Smex Pop Up Art Café give you the chance to browse zines, prints, cards and tees designed by illustrator Alex Weir over a coffee between noon and 5pm. Enjoy the free art exhibition on the tramwork barriers.
