Fast and Furious 9: Watch new trailer featuring scenes in Edinburgh

The latest trailer for Fast and Furious 9, which is in cinemas on July 8, has been released.

Crew and actors for the new film were seen in working in 11 different city centre location in Edinburgh over 19 days in September 2019. These included Waterloo Place, George Street, Cockburn Street, Victoria Street, Royal Mile, Melville Street and the Museum of Scotland.

Residents at the time were thrilled to get a glimpse of the stars, including Vin Diesel Tyrese Gibson and Chris “Ludachris” Bridges.

The film sees Diesel's character, Dominic Toretto, a reformed criminal and ex-street racer who has settled into retirement with his wife and son, face a deadly threat from his younger brother, Jakob, played by John Cena.

The Universal Pictures production - described as "one of the largest and most complex shoots" to use Edinburgh as a backdrop - also features scenes in London, Tokyo, Central America, Azerbaijan and Tblisi in Georgia.
