Among the 2020 cast is 22-year-old Paige Turley, from West Lothian - who is the ex of Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi.

Ex-boyfriend in the limelight

Paige is heading into the villa alongside 11 other singles, all with the quest to find love - but she has a lot to say about her previous relationship.

Paige dated the pop singer for about a year when she was 17 or 18, and she says that their relationship ended amicably, with the pair remaining friends.

In her introductory video, Paige, who is also a singer, says: “One of my ex-boyfriend’s is actually in the limelight,” before adding: “He may possibly be Lewis Capaldi.”

Lewis Capaldi has topped the charts and gained a huge fan base, becoming known for songs such as Before You Go, Bruises and Someone You Loved.

The latter song is actually rumoured to be about Paige, with her addressing these rumours.

Paige said: “According to the papers, they think the song was about me. The song was called ‘Someone You Loved’.”

“If that’s the case Lewis I am so sorry.”

High expectations

The West Lothian Singleton is wanting to find people in the villa that she doesn’t usually cross paths with, but hopes that there will be “someone with a cockney accent.”

Her ex-boyfriend’s Number One song has also left her with high expectations for her time in the villa - and any potential suitors.

“My expectations are high, if I’ve got a song written about me, boy, you better be bringing it,” states Paige.

You can keep up to date with Paige’s time in the villa, when the first series of winter Love Island launches on 12 January at 9pm, on ITV2.
