THERE is an abundance of brilliant clubs nights throughout the city, all perfect places to party and bring in the Bells. Here is our guide to the best of them.

Hogmanay Special @ The Newsroom

QUALITY for a fiver, the party kicks off at 6pm, running on till 3am. Evening starts with the official Heavy Gossip and Musika DJs’ pre-party till 9pm, then it’s time to head downstairs for the best house, disco and minimal the Edinburgh underground has to offer.

A cracking DJ line-up includes Aqua Bassino, Ricky Reid, Harry Bennett, Ross Hutchison and Lel Palfrey (both pictured).

IF you fancy cranking up the heat Thai-style then Cargo is the place to go for a blissed out, Full Moon inspired party. With tripped out psychedelic sounds, Thai bites and the infamous Bucket of Joy, it’s one of the best ways to bring in the Bells.

We Love . . . Hogmanay – Musika, Heavy Gossip & Utragroove Present Julio Bashmore, Deetron and Jozif.

JULIO Bashmore is one of the biggest break-through artists of 2011. At the Liquid Room, he co-headlines with Swiss tech-house DJ Deetron – worth the ticket price alone in my book.

We Love . . . Ibiza resident Jozif will also be mixing up an impeccable blend of the best electronic music the underground has to offer. Runs 9pm until 5am.

Room two sees the Rendezvous DJs, the Harrower brothers, mixing up the best in avant garde house music, while the Ladies On Rotation take over The Speakeasy for a night of fried funk, sexy soul and dirty disco. Priced at a cool tenner, sounds good to me. 10pm–5am.
