Records and vinyls have had something of a resurgence over the past few years, with the likes of Taylor Swift making them the coolest collectors’ items to put on display or spin on a record players.

5. Good Vibes Neighbourhood Store & Studio
Good Vibes Neighbourhood Store & Studio moved into Constitution Street in 2020 and has been delighting Leith music lovers ever since. 6. VoxBox Music
VoxBox Music can be found on St Stephen Street in the heart of Stockbridge. The shop opened in 2011 and offers up both new and used records to music lovers in the city. 7. Lounge 33
Lounge 33 is a vinyl and coffee shop which has called Leith Walk home for just under a year now after moving in in June 2025. Customers love the vibe of this record store, where they can also relax with a cup of coffee. Backbeat Record is a city institution, having set up home on East Crosscauseway in 1981. Bursting at the seams with thousands upon thousands of records, the owner, Dougie Shane, has something for everyone and is on hand to help you find your favourite artist.
