First look at Voco Hotel set to open its doors in Edinburgh’s Haymarket area

IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to open their seventh voco Hotel in the UK within Edinburgh’s Haymarket area and will welcome locals and visitors alike from March 19, 2021, if government restrictions allow.
Launched in 2018, the group aims to offer the reassurance of a big brand with the informality and charm of an individual hotel.

Priding itself on sustainability, the hotel will help guests sleep easier with thoughtful comforts like bedding made from 100 per cent recycled materials, bathroom amenities in large dispenser bottles and aerated shower heads to reduce water usage.
The group also removes an average of 300 plastic bottles in every room per year by instead using micro-filtered water in glass bottles.
The new hotel consists of tastefully designed 150 rooms located within a short stroll of the city centre, and both Haymarket and Waverley stations.

Oushan Deeljore, director at Axcel Hospitality Ltd., operators of the hotel, said: “We are thrilled to soon be opening voco Edinburgh - Haymarket, an upscale hotel in a fantastic location.
“This is Axcel Hospitality’s eighth opening in the UK since 2012 and demonstrates our commitment to developing and managing hotels in key locations. It is our second IHG Hotels & Resorts property within the portfolio and our second hotel in Scotland.”
