But Princes Street is gradually coming alive again as lockdown eases.

From today – Monday April 26 – non-essential shops are allowed to open their doors once again.

Some businesses – like M&S and Boots – have been allowed to stay open during lockdown, while others have been open for collection only.

And sadly, there are some shops which will not be reopening their doors. Topshop and Debenhams are among the big names which have suffered due to the pandemic and changing habits on the British High Street.
