The property, located on the ground floor in a B-listed traditional building, is in West Bow, Grassmarket, and is up for sale with offers over £210,000.

It sits at the bottom of Victoria Street, known locally as the inspiration for JK Rowling’s Diagon Alley.

The property was previously let on Airbnb and proved to be a huge hit for Harry Potter fans visiting the city.

It has an open-plan living room and kitchen area, a double bedroom, a bathroom and an entrance hallway. There is also permit parking, and entrance to the apartment is via Edmonstone's Close from West Bow, with a shared common stairwell.

Among the subtle nods to the Harry Potter stories, the flat has a hallway with a secret storage cupboard hidden behind a long mirror and windows framing views of the nearby Grassmarket.
