Fife-based Briggs Marine seals key maintenance contract with Forth Ports

Briggs Marine has been awarded a seven-year contract with Forth Ports.

The agreement covers the maintenance of vital aids to navigation on the Forth and Tay rivers and kicked off at the start of this month. Fife-based Briggs Marine successfully retendered the work in early 2020.

The contract will see the firm undertake the maintenance of 81 floating aids to navigation, two mooring buoys and 35 fixed aids to navigation. Lighthouses and fixed navigational aids will also be visited and maintained regularly.

The company is a key UK marine contractor offering services across a range of industries specialising in coastal, offshore and nearshore operations.
