A former William Hill betting shop in Edinburgh’s city centre could become the latest addition to the Capital’s nightlife scene, if plans submitted to the council earlier this month are approved.
The City of Edinburgh Council received a planning application on September 7 to change the use of the sought-after spot at 34-36 South Bridge, from a Class 2 Bookmakers to a restaurant.

Proposed floor plans submitted alongside the application show how the new business will remove the existing service counter on the ground floor and introduce a new bar area.
In the basement, owners plan to install customer bathrooms, along with a brand new kitchen and store room layout.
