The new store, which will cover 2,100 sq. metres over two floors, promises H&M customers a shop which has a very different interior feel to its others, with the focus on creating a modern shopping experience.

The new St James Quarter shop is described as having a ‘more welcoming’ interior with a lower volume of products - displayed in an ‘inspirational’ way, in line with St James Quarter’s vision to host shops which are bringing their latest store concepts to the heart of Edinburgh.

The new H&M will have a full ladies, Divided, mens, and childrenswear department.

Founded in Sweden in 1947, H&M opened its first UK store in 1976, and now boasts more than 240 stores across the UK and Ireland.

With sustainability at the heart of the business model, H&M offers a garment collecting service worldwide which was launched in 2013.

It offers customers the chance to donate any unwanted clothes and textiles, from any brand.
