For months, online shopping has had to suffice as shops across the nation have been firmly shut under strict coronavirus lockdown regulations.
But from today, Monday, 26 April, doors to shops have flung open and customers have been welcomed back with open arms to stores in Edinburgh.
Here are some pictures showing customers flocking to the shops on this landmark day as the country eases its way out of lockdown.
