Josh Littlejohn MBE, Social Bite Co-Founder, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be working with The Caring Foundation to contribute to the food provision in Scotland.

“The food they are providing for distribution in Edinburgh and Glasgow will have a big impact on the lives of people affected by this crisis by helping us deliver high-quality nutritious meals with dignity."

Richard Caring said: ‘This is a time for reflection, patience, understanding, co-operation, trust, belief and most important of all; action!

“We have a hub of collective kitchens across the whole of the UK and we are blessed to have the most amazing staff and suppliers who truly want to help, even though there is risk involved.

“We applaud the wonderful network of our guests and friends of our brands for being so generous, not only with their good wishes, but also with actual donations and offers of support.”

The Caring Foundation has committed to offering over 50,000 meals a week through various hospitals and charity food partnerships across the whole country including London, Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, Yorkshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brighton.

Volunteers working at the company’s Scottish venues - The Ivy on the Square, The Ivy Buchanan Street, and Bill’s Restaurant & Bar in Glasgow - aim to prepare 1,000 meals to be distributed via the Social Bite charity.
