Airline Jet2 have pushed back their flights from Scottish airports to July 1, after initially planning to restart on June 17.

The Leeds based airline closed down their operation in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesperson for Jet 2 said: “In view of the ongoing travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to recommence our flights and holidays programme on July 1st.

“The health and safety of our customers and colleagues is our absolute priority, and we are continuing to monitor the situation very closely.

“Customers who were due to travel before July 1st do not need to contact us.

“We are continuing to proactively contact customers to discuss their options, one of which is rebooking their holiday to a later date.

“If a customer has a booking that is due to depart on or after July 1st, the booking is subject to our normal terms and conditions.”
