Late-night trains during Edinburgh Festival
TRAINS will leave the Capital after midnight during the Festival, ScotRail has confirmed.
A new timetable will begin on Friday, but will fully kick-in from Monday. The last train from Edinburgh to Glasgow will now leave at 12.30am – an hour later than usual, while more services will connect the cities during the day.
There will also be extra night-time trains to North Berwick, Garscadden, Glenrothes, Dunfermline and Dundee.
Full timetable information is available at www.scotrail.co.uk/majorevents.
Cathy Craig, ScotRail’s commercial director, said: “The festivals are brilliant for Edinburgh. We want to help as many people as possible get to and from the Capital.”
