New hotel: 251-bedroom ibis hotel announced near Edinburgh Airport
The new 251-bedroom ibis Red hotel featuring a new ‘PLAZA’ design concept is expected to open at the beginning of 2023 in land adjacent to Edinburgh Airport, according to the hospitality group Accor.
Announcing their signing of the new ibis Edinburgh Airport, Accor commented that the hotel is set to open in the first quarter of 2023 after planning consent was granted today.
Construction will begin later in the year on land adjacent to Edinburgh airport with the hotel being constructed in partnership with Create Developments.
The hotel will have 251 guest bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and breakfast area.
Featuring ibis’s new contemporary and urban ‘Plaza’ design concept, Accor commented that the hotel will be “a truly vibrant space creating flexible social and working hubs that are welcoming living spaces for people to meet, work and play.”
Hotel and interior specialists ICA, in collaboration with the Accor Design and Technical Services team, will bring the global Plaza design concept to life.
Due to its proximity to the airport, the hotel building will provide sound-proofing for the comfort of guests.
The complex will also offer up to three coach parking spaces and 125 car parking spaces.
