Some of the Capital’s restaurant and pub owners have closed permanently due to the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
As restrictions ease across the country, several business owners in the hospitality sector have made the difficult decision not to reopen as the country faces financial hardship after months in lockdown.

5. Saiko Kitchen
Family-run Saiko Kitchen in Roseneath Street, Edinburgh, has permanently closed its doors during lockdown. In as statement on Facebook, owners said: "After a lot of careful consideration we’ve made the hard but right decision for us as a family not to renew our lease. At this moment in time we’re unsure of what the next step is for Saiko Kitchen but we’ll keep you updated on social media with any news. We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every employee, customer, neighbour, family member and friend who’s supported us over these last six years" Photo: JPI Media
