St James Quarter: 'Grown-up' bowling alley and games centre announced

A boutique bowling alley and gaming centre has become the latest addition to the Edinburgh St James Quarter.

Lane7 is the UK’s largest independent bowling and gaming operator.

At existing venues it offers ‘grown-up gaming’ with ping-pong, urban golf, 80s-style arcade games and karaoke alongside cocktails and beer pong.

It will occupy 19,000sq ft on Level 4 of the shopping galleria at the St James Quarter and promises to ‘shake up the city’s nightlife’.

The Edinburgh outpost will join Lane7 venues in Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham and Liverpool.

Children will be allowed at the venue every day until 7pm.

It comes after SushiSamba signed its first restaurant in Scotland at the development, as well as Bonnie & Wild, a new concept food hall by restaurant brand, Mac & Wild.
