These new full time positions are field based and each Maintenance Engineer will be given their own network of hotels to service across Edinburgh.

Scott Rutherford, Travelodge Technical Services Director said: “We are delighted to be expanding our Edinburgh based in-house maintenance team.

"This dedicated team is the backbone of our Edinburgh operation and regarded as the fourth emergency services for our Edinburgh hotel teams, therefore each Maintenance Engineer holds a very valuable position within the company.”

The company is set on developing its team and has an established training programme in place to up-skill maintenance team members, this is to ensure they are multi-skilled and qualified to undertake a range of jobs across the hotels.

Perks of the role include being given access to a vehicle, 50 per cent discount off Travelodge rooms and opportunities for skill set expansion with further training and development.

Travelodge is the only UK budget hotel chain that has invested in a dedicated in-house maintenance team of experts to support its 563 hotels across the UK.
