Kind-hearted donors have dug deep while Edinburgh City Council signed-off a £27,000 grant to give the liquidator more time to find a buyer.

"We did it. In under 4 weeks we have raised £101,040.," the farm tweeted.

"This afternoon we had another huge anonymous donation of £5,000.

"There's been tears, many tears, and there's been a whole lot of determination. Watch this space. For now we breathe #SaveGorgieFarm."
