The "Wonder Walks" maps each contain a selection of games and activities designed to help children and their parents think about the Easter story in a fun way.

And since they were launched at the start of Lent the maps have been downloaded almost 3,000 times from the Edinburgh-based society's website https://scottish.bible/wonderwalks/.

There are eight maps altogether and they are not tied to specific locations – the games and activities can be enjoyed almost anywhere.

The society said parents had been taking to social media to share their experiences of Wonder Walks and praise the maps.

And the appeal of Wonder Walks has reached overseas with a Romanian version just released by the Bible Society in Romania in partnership with European Christian Mission.
