Heriot-Watt adds new leaders to Malaysian campus

HERIOT-WATT University has added two academic leaders to the senior management team at its new campus in Malaysia.

Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi and Professor Dennis Wong will head up the new facility in Putrajaya, near Kuala Lumpur.

University principal Richard Williams said he was delighted to be able to welcome two experienced colleagues to his team.

“We are delighted to be welcoming two such impressive new team members who bring with them the breadth of innovation and leadership on which we can grow and develop the success of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia,” he said.

“They have a knowledge of and enthusiasm for trans-national education, combined with an entrepreneurial approach.”

He added: “These are qualities which will both support the continuing growth of Heriot-Watt University in Malaysia and will feed into the strategic development of our global university.”
