Primary’s top of the class

St Matthew’s RC Primary in Rosewell, Midlothian, was inspected by Education Scotland as part of a national sample of primary and nursery education.

Inspectors identified key strengths at the school, including highly motivated pupils. The report noted that the school was making good progress in developing literacy and numeracy skills, and staff are providing a nurturing environment for children.
