The statistics from the NRS differ from the daily reports from the Scottish Government as they include all cases where coronavirus is mentioned on the death certificate even if an official test has not been done.

The Scottish Government daily briefing releases the numbers of people who have confirmed Covid-19, and by these measures, 2,134 patients have died.

Nicola Sturgeon will face more questions on the government's handling of the pandemic today in parliament at First Minister's Questions which will start at 12.20pm.
