Coronavirus in Scotland: Number of second vaccine doses passes 1,000,000

More than one million people in Scotland have now had their second dose of the covid19 vaccine, according to new figures.

So far 2,773,770 people have received the first dose and 1,068,704 have received their second.

Today another 9,816 new tests for covid19 reported results, 1.7% of which were positive

While there have been no new deaths of anyone who tested positive, register offices are now generally closed at weekends.

A total of 93 people were in hospital yesterday with covid19, 12 of which were in intensive care.
